Healing Spotlight: Aerial Yoga
I’ve been taking yoga classes for over 10 years, but this is the first time I’ve experienced aerial yoga. It was awkward, fun, relaxing, scary and showed me that I am capable of way more than I think.
It’s funny how you find perspective in strange places. In my usual vinyasa yoga style classes, I have a hard time with poses like crow and headstand. But in this aerial class, I was able to experience what it felt like while being supported by this crazy awesome fabric.
Instead of saying “no, I’ll pass on this part” (like I do in other classes), I decided to push past my fear and trust that the fabric would support me as I watched other people plop upside down and sideways. And when I did it myself, it was quite freeing! Have you tried this yet?
